You'll know the hotels but you won't have heard of the privately owned company behind them... operating in the luxury five star hospitality market they own and run some of London's best known properties... the iconic Athenaeum in Mayfair, the sublime Grove at Gerard's Cross and the picturesque Runnymede-on-Thames near Windsor, plus the luxury five star apartments 23 Greengarden House just off Bond Street... if you don't know them and I don't exaggerate when I say that they are pretty special.
New websites for each property
The group's websites were tired, out of date and sat on a mixture of old legacy platforms that were holding the business back. A complete re-think was needed.
Through a series of workshops with the many key stakeholders from around the group I produced a 'strawman' strategic approach. Next specified requirements and core functionality. Then gained board approval and funding for it.
By running a series of tenders I negotiated contracts with and appointed a web agency plus IT provider for the project. Selecting a booking engine, CMS and CRM were next.
Defining the UX, navigation and templates plus creating the content and images for each properties website completed the project.
It was a team effort, I led the delivery and project managed. It was all brought in on time and on budget. If you'd like to see the results... click on the images to your left... we were all very pleased with the outcome!

New branding for two properties following multi million pound refurbishments
The Athenaeum
Relaxed and informal, yet super chic all wrapped up in perfect five star delivery... "Your London Home" very succinctly tuned into its personality and clientele.
The new corporate image employing a very stylised plump little bird from across the road in Green Park fitted the design concept of 'bringing the outside in'. It also provided for a playful visual we could own and have fun with. |
Runnymede-on-Thames
Sat in the most idyllic spot on the banks of the River Thames this is a stunning property. With it's mix of restaurants, bars, meeting areas, conference, weddings. large spa, two swimming pools the hotel is a natural hub for the region.
Previously named The Runnymede Hotel & Spa, we took a leaf out of the picturesque towns along the Thames and re-named it 'The Runnymede-on-Thames'. That then dictated our brand language and personality. Akin to the other properties in the group, they don't take themselves too seriously and have a mischievous sense of fun. What better aquatic and friendly image could we have possibly used in the corporate identity than a yellow plastic duck! |
